This is the homebase for copy editing of The Participatory Museum. Copy editing will take place Jan 18-29.

Right now, this is just a storage bin for items I need to put together for the 18th.

Here are a few "known issues" that need to be resolved:

  • Consistent approach to bulleting. Sometimes, I end bullets with periods, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I highlight key phrases with italics, sometimes with bold.
  • "See page XX." I need to decide whether to put references to other parts of the book in-line or as footnotes.
  • Footnotes vs. endnotes. Need to decide globally and in the few instances where a footnote clarifies (i.e. defines something for a foreign or non-technical audience) instead of cites a reference.
    • for references, find a way to simplify links to some universal system so I can update links as they change without affecting readers (i.e. Groundswell system)
  • "front-line staff" not "floor staff"
  • "staff" is a collective noun. When talking about individuals, use "staff members"
